The future is my greatest source of inspiration
Over the past twenty years, my work has moved from abstract textural paintings in neutral tones to realistic black and white figure drawings. More recently however I have been creating abstract figure paintings in bright, bold hues. This current exploration is a marriage of my realistic rendering techniques with my abstract experimentations. It is extremely satisfying to have both sides of my brain finally meet!
This epitomizes the reason I create: the path is my goal. As long as it twists and turns, presents forks and dead-ends, I will continue my artistic journey. The changes in the path's terrain are merely opportunities to make decisions. At times it feels risky but the more decisions I face, the more I paint with confidence, clarity and intention. These challenges fuel my work and give my life meaning and purpose.
